Angèle Arsenault

Sur le 30 juillet nous sommes très fier de présenter Angèle Arsenault pour notre spectacle d`ouverture. Voici un peut d`information à propose d`Angèle.

Angèle Arsenault est née à Abram-Village, Ile-du-Prince-Edouard. En 1975, elle enregistre son premier mircrosillon, "Première". Suite à ce disque, l'éditeur Leméac publie un livre du même titre qui contient ses cinquante premières chansons. L'année suivante, elle écrit un disque en anglais, "Angèle Arsenault". Elle à eu le succès et la célébrité en 1977 avec "Libre", un album trois fois platine. En 1979, elle enregistre un quatrième album "Y'a une étoile pour vous". L'année suivante, elle triomphe au Festival de Spa en Belgique et retourne en studio pour son cinquième album, "Chanter dans le soleil". En 1982, elle réalise un autre microsillon, "Paniquez pas pour rien". Angèle a également entretenu une carrière en radio et en télévision, tant au Québec qu'ailleurs au Canada, notamment dans les Maritimes.En 1994, elle fait un retour sur disque, avec un CD de chansons originales, intitulé "Transparente". En 1997, Angèle reçoit l'Ordre de la Pléiade de l'Association des parlementaires de langue française, en reconnaissance de son travail pour la promotion de la langue et de la culture française. En novembre 2000, Angèle Arsenault a été nommée Femme de l'année par l'Association internationale Zonta. Le prix a été remis par le Club Zonta de Charlottetown, Ile-du-Prince-Edouard.

On July 30th, 2011 we are very happy to present Angèle Arsenault with us for our Opening Concert. Here is a small biography of Angèle.

Angèle Arsenault was born in Abram-Village, Prince Edward Island. In 1975, she recorded her first album call "Première". After this album, the editor Leméac publishes a book of the same title that contained her 5 first songs. The year after that, she wrote an album in English titled "Angèle Arsenault". She received success and celebrity in 1977 with her "Libre" album, that went three times platnium. In 1979, she recorded her fourth album called "Y'a une étoile pour vous". The year after that, she performed at Festival de Spa in Belgium and then returned in the studio to record her fifth album, "Chanter dans la soleil". In 1982, she recorded the album "Paniquez pas pour rien". Angèle has also had a career in radio and television, both in Québec and other parts of the World, most notably in the Maritimes. In 1994, she made a return to recording with a CD, entitled "Transparente", composed of all original songs. In 1997, Angèle received the Order of La Pléiade from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie in acknowledgement of her work in the promotion of the French language and culture. In November 2000, Angèle Arsenault was named Woman of the Year by the International Zonta Association. This award was presented to Angèle at the Club Zonta in Charlottetown, PEI.
